how things really work
is the NDIS working for you?
Are you hitting walls trying to access the NDIS? Maybe you don't even know where to start. Perhaps you already have an NDIS plan, but it doesn't suit your needs. Or maybe the waters are so muddy, that nobody can answer your questions.
You're definitely not alone. That's why Meliora, as a registered charity, is holding free community information sessions - where you can come along, have your questions answered, and clear the waters so you know where you stand, what the rules are, and how to make sure the NDIS works for you.
These events are an informal community service, borne from our experience in the system, designed to ensure that the scheme runs the way it should, for everyone.
information
what these sessions are about
There are more than 700,000 participants across Australia - and for the majority of people we meet, things aren't working the way they should.
The NDIS can feel like an impenetrable maze. Most of the time, people run into dead ends - being told no, or you don't qualify, or more recently their funding gets cut without explanation.
Having support and advice to make sense of things, understand where you're at, what's possible going forward and how to get there - can make all the difference.
That's where our community information sessions come in. While we don't and can't guarantee everything will work out perfectly, we're here to offer our time, knowledge and experience to help.

why we’re doing this
Meliora has provided Support Coordination and free assistance to people to get onto the NDIS via our Unfunded Lives project, since 2020.
During that time, we've helped dozens of people reach the point where the NDIS is finally working for them: They have the funding they need, providers who do the right thing, they understand the rules and how to ensure they get the most out of their funding.
We're passionate about leveraging our experience of being knee-deep in the trenches and sharing the struggles and wins - to share everything we've learned so far.
