How Meliora helps you navigate the NDIS

How Meliora helps you navigate the NDIS

If the NDIS feels confusing or exhausting, you are not alone. Many people tell us they do not know where to start, or they have a plan that does not fit the realities of life.

At Meliora, our role is to meet you where you are and make the next step clear. We began in 2019 as a disability support provider, and since 2020 we have also provided Support Coordination. Alongside our paid services, we run charitable projects for people doing it tough, so no one is left to fall through the gaps in the system.

Start strong: understand your plan and your options
We sit with you and translate your plan into plain language. You will know what each budget is for, how funding periods work, and what that looks like week to week. We can show you how to use the my NDIS portal, approve bookings, and keep an eye on spending. If you are new to the scheme, we help map goals and evidence so your plan reflects your actual needs.

Get the right supports in place
Finding good providers takes time. We help you shortlist options, compare rates and travel charged, understand service agreements, and ask the right questions - either with you, or on your behalf as required.

If you prefer independent workers, we can talk through how that works in practice. If you want a registered provider, we can help you choose one that is responsive and genuinely compliant in practice. We are always guided by your preferences, culture and routines.

Make your funding work in daily life
A plan only helps if it turns into real support. Together we translate dollars into a sustainable weekly rhythm. That can include personal care, community access, therapies, transport, domestic support, and even short term respite when needed. We help show you how to spot fair billing, how travel and cancellations should appear, and how to utilise our services to raise concerns early when something looks off.

Stay on track through the year
Things change. We check in, review what is working, and adjust before small issues become big ones. If invoices build up or balances move faster than expected, we help you reset things. If you are plan managed, we help you stay on top of approved invoices and stay connected to your PM, working with them rather than against them.

When funding is cut or does not fit
If your plan has been reduced or does not cover the essentials you really need, we help you plan the pathway. That might include gathering professional evidence, requesting a reassessment, and escalating when the NDIA doesn't live up to its responsibilities. We keep the process calm and organised, and involve the right clinicians so your reports speak clearly to what the agency needs to see.

For people locked out of the system
Some people should be on the NDIS but are shut out by cost, waitlists or agency failure. Through our Unfunded Lives program we can provide interim practical support and help gather the evidence for access. If this is you or someone you care for, tell us. We will do what we can to stabilise things and start the path forward.

How we work with you
You stay in control. We bring experience, straight forward communication and a collaborative team approach. We listen first, respect your wishes, and work at your pace. We understand trauma, rural realities, tight budgets, and the pressures of caring.

What the first conversation looks like
We keep it simple. We ask about what's working, what's in crisis, and what you want life to look like over the next few months. We look at your plan or your access questions, agree on priorities, and map your next steps. If you would like a friend, family member or advocate involved, that is welcome and encouraged to ensure you get the right outcomes.

A gentle invitation
If you are stuck, unsure where to begin, or just want things explained clearly, reach out. We will talk it through, help you make a plan, and walk alongside you so the NDIS works finally for you, not the other way around.
